Vinyasa Flow is a dynamic practice and one of the most popular forms of yoga in the world.
Vinyasa is a technique that synchronizes breath with movement and literally means ‘movement to breath’, in this class you will move and flow through a sequence of yoga postures.
You will create heat in the body from movement and breath allowing you to move deeper into postures and into your own yoga practice. By moving through a series of poses more quickly, in time with our breath we can often create a ‘moving meditation’ feeling. Our mind is calm and we are simply focusing on moving the body into the next pose while inhaling and exhaling.
This class is an excellent way to build on using yoga poses you already know and do in other classes, we put them together in an active sequence. You will build physical agility and improve mental focus and stretch your muscles while building strength and stamina.
You will start the class by calming your body and mind with some breathing practices, followed by a warm up to prepare you for your practice then ending the class with a blissful savasana. This is the yoga Sanskrit term for relaxation, we will enjoy a few minutes peaceful calm and quiet whilst laying down at the end of the class.
If you are interested in trying a slightly faster paced movement through your yoga postures, linking them to your breath and building some heat and fire in the body then this class is for you!
This class is not suitable for absolute beginners but modifications will always be given for postures depending on your level of practice.
